Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Lexaro ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the Lexaro mobile application (the "App"). Lexaro does not require you to create an account, and does not knowingly collect your name, email address, or other direct contact details through the App itself.
2. Information We Collect
Lexaro stores your gameplay progress — completed levels, streaks, and statistics — locally on your device. We don't operate a server that stores this progress, and it isn't tied to an account or personal identity.
The App uses Firebase (provided by Google), which may collect device and usage information automatically, including:
- Device identifiers and device/OS information (e.g. device model, operating system version)
- App usage and gameplay events (e.g. levels played, features used)
- Crash and performance diagnostics
- Approximate location derived from IP address
If the App offers in-app purchases, purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — Lexaro does not receive or store your payment details.
3. How We Use Information
We use this information to operate and improve the App, understand how it's used, diagnose and fix crashes, and process in-app purchases through the app stores.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party service:
- Firebase (Google) — analytics and crash reporting. See Google's Privacy Policy.
If in-app purchases are available, they are processed by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies:
5. Data Sharing
We don't sell your information. Data collected via Firebase is shared with Google as our analytics/crash-reporting provider, under Google's own data processing terms. We don't share information with any other third party except where required by law.
6. Data Retention
Analytics and crash data collected via Firebase is retained according to Firebase's default retention settings. Gameplay progress stored locally on your device remains until you delete the App or clear its data. To ask about deleting analytics data associated with your device, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's Privacy
Lexaro is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
If you're in the UK or EEA, UK/EU data protection law gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we (via Firebase) hold about your device, and to object to or withdraw consent for its processing. Because Lexaro doesn't use accounts, most requests will relate to device-linked analytics data — contact us and we'll assist as best we can. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
